Duties to include the following:
-EPA registered aquatic herbicide and algaecide application
-Installation and maintenance of aerators, fountains, and compressed air systems
-Aquatic plant surveys
-Assisting with and writing vegetation management plans
-Fish management surveys
-Assisting with fish survey reports
-Data entry and management
-General maintenance of trucks, boats, equipment, and grounds
-Speaking at pond clinics, trade shows, conferences, and public meetings
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in fisheries/aquatic science, agriculture, or a natural resources related field
Experience with aquatic vegetation identification
GPS and GIS experience
Basic mechanical ability (experience in outboard motor operation is a plus)
Ability to work in an outdoor environment (physical labor required)
Ability to work an average of 50 hours per week
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

• aquatic weed and algae identification
• basic water quality analysis
• responsible for general maintenance and cleanliness of equipment
• assist with fish and aquatic vegetation surveys
Minimum Requirements:
Qualified applicants should have coursework and experience in the fields of fisheries management, aquatic biology, or related environmental science. Preference will be given to applicants with basic mechanical ability, experience in outboard motor operation, and the ability to interact with customers effectively. All internships offered are outdoor, field-based, and will require physical labor. Some overnight stays may be required. Interns will work an average of 45 hours per week.
