Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in fisheries/aquatic science, agriculture, or a natural resources related field
Experience with aquatic vegetation identification
GPS and GIS experience
Basic mechanical ability (experience in outboard motor operation is a plus)
Ability to work in an outdoor environment (physical labor required)
Ability to work an average of 50 hours per week
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Aquatic Control Inc. is a privately owned lake and pond management company with our home office in Seymour Indiana and satellite offices in Valparaiso IN, Evansville IN, Truesdale MO, Memphis TN, Williamsville IL, Elizabethtown, KY, and Ankeny, IA. We are actively growing and need to add a Fisheries Biologist at our Willamsville, Illinois location.
The Fisheries Biologist is responsible for:
- Act as Lead Biologist on fish surveys and fish removals
- Conduct fish surveys in IL, MO, IA, and potentially northern IN with our Valparaiso office
- Installation of fish habitat and fish feeders
- Write and edit fish survey reports
- Discuss and quote future work with new customers
- General maintenance of trucks, boats, equipment, and grounds
- Help with treatment and/or aeration
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of experience in fisheries/aquatic science, or natural resources
- Experience on electrofishing boat
- Ability to drive a truck while trailering a boat.
- Basic mechanical ability (experience in outboard motor operation is a plus)
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment (physical labor required)
- Ability to travel and work remotely for up to 4 nights at a time.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work an average of 50 hours per week during the busy seasons
